H:F were invited by building owner DTZI to devise a future strategy for Manchester’s number 1 entertainment venue. Analysis of international precedents and changes in technology in the entertainment sector led H:F to propose introducing a 1000m2 digital ceiling over Printworks’ covered streets – a screen so large that it is 20% larger than the one at Piccadilly Circus.
As creative directors, H:F led the global hunt for talent to create the content for this show-stopping canvas. The award-winning Manchester agencies Flipbook and ADI were appointed, and working collectively, have produced over 100 pieces of extraordinary creative material. Seeing is believing.
In addition, David Fraser has guided the wider creative team and supported the client DTZI and Asset Managers Cushman & Wakefield through every aspect of the design of the building’s interior and exterior restoration. H:F’s role has included advising on lighting, sound, special effects, signage and environmental graphics, as well as advertising and marketing support.
David Fraser adds, ‘It has been our pleasure to help lead such a wonderful team of creative professionals from an extraordinary concept to stunning delivery, a standout attraction in this great city. Mixing strategic vision with creative expression, Printworks is a milestone project for H:F’.
